Elections for MPs in Bangalore

Elections don't change anything, except for the people who win and may be the party to a certain extent. They are all after capital cronyism!

It might take another 100 years in India to change the thought process of real voting... like USA.. No one dares to challenge powerful one!

Those who stand for elections are after protecting and improving their investments only.

Tiffin being offered by the booth agents to the booth workers. hm... interesting. Is it allowed? Vada, Sambar smell while voting. #Bangalore

Weather is better for voting in Bangalore. Hope people exercise their franchise for the better good of India.

AAP and Congress having booth agents. These BJP guys didn't even bother to have their booth agents. So much of over confidence. Bad Bad BJP! #Arakere

Yes. I checked (peeped into) 2 other booths too... only 1 or 2 agents. May be they might amble in later. I am seeing it for the first time... otherwise in 2008 onwards till 2013 ( local, MLA & MP) they were very active. Verified with my newspaper vendor, who works for the local councilor. This time not much cash is being spent due to the so called Modi wave. India is Shining!

அரசியலுக்கு வரும் முன் இருக்கும் சொத்து, பதவி வந்தவுடன் அரசியல்வாதிகளுக்கு மடிப்பு கலையாத பட்டு வேட்டி சட்டை போல எப்படி பெருகுது? இதுவா சோசியல் சர்வீஸ்?

இடைத்தேர்தலிலும் ஆளும் கட்சி வெற்றி வாய்ப்பை சில சமயம் தவற விட்டதுண்டு. ஒரு நாள் ட்ராபிக் ஜேம் பாடம் தரும்.

அரசியலில் கெட்ட அரசியல்வாதிகள் நிறைய உண்டு. குடும்ப சொத்துக்கள், நாலு காசு வருமானம் இழந்தவர்கள் ஏராளம். என் குடும்பத்திலும்.

An MBA would be an added advantage. I tried few courses, but the demand of time on work didn't allow me to complete it in the USA. It is more of self learning of concepts from various online courses and has given me a good overview of the current International Business and Markets.

This portal is to showcase important travel related options – providing with a framework of service offerings - for any travel business to enable them to get more customers for their venture. Working on several leadership activities in marketing, business development and sales along with pitching for venture investments, for taking this product from concept stage to a reality. From July 2008 to Aug 2010, Architecting the solution for exclusive Real Estate Portals, indiarealestventure.com with a powerful backend eCRM and eDataCenter as a framework based on opensource solutions. I was incharge of the design and delivery. The software venture provides end to end solution for a classified, online realty portal.

Engaged in Hosiery companies ERP in 1999 after I returned from US. During 2001 - 02 worked on product for B2B secure messaging solution using Java Server technologies a unique product in the web arena and an Electronic Payment System that would function as part of Multi-tier banking system using Oracle 9iAS From July 2008 to Aug 2010, Architecting the solution for exclusive Real Estate Portals, indiarealestventure.com with a powerful backend eCRM and eDataCenter as a framework based on opensource solutions. I was incharge of the design and delivery. The software venture provides end to end solution for a classified, online realty portal, with minimal costs. With hundreds of projects yet to be sold, the pure online marketing and presence with customized followups are going to provide rich benefits for the realty developers. With almost everyone looking for houses and apartments online, this service will help them a lot. The idea is to release in 8 major Indian cities with support.

I would start with startups again. Abundance of knowledge can be gained. However it depends upon the emoluments that would match the skills. Ideally it should be a funded company. I like Mentoring startup software companies in the early stage. I want to be part of the ecosystem, that can be part of a multi-billion dollar setup, be it a small or a large company. I am dedicated and give the honest and best work, that would satisfy are the stake holders.

Q-8 What is an Accomplishment that You Are Proud Of?

Coming from a lower middle class background, I have learnt the values of hardwork and the sacrifices involved to make it a success. Getting good education from a well known engineering college, PSG college of Technology was a starting point of climbing the corporate ladder.

Q-9 Where Do You See Yourself In A Couple of Years From Now?

Work in a larger organization delivery solutions for multiple clients.

Q-10 How has the Professional Environment Changed From the Time you Joined?

Nowadays compared to 1990s the environment is more fast paced and result is considered as achieved only on success. Even youngsters are rising to the higher levels of corporate CXO jobs or Board level Directors. It was hard work and self learning those days and depended upon one's own interest to learn. Nowadays with the advent of high speed internet, and courses online, one can learn and gain more knowledge in the field they want to specialize in. Money is not the only motivational factor for a good and steady job. There are equity stock options given. The rewards are proportional to the hard work the kind of work involved with.

Q-11 How Do You Manage Your Work Life Balance?

It is very difficult to manage the Work and family life balance. Planning is the key. If your spouse is also working, then you have to plan well in advance of whatever you need to do on the personal front only during holidays and weekends. You are lucky, if you can afford extra help at home. It is a two way street. The kids have to understand about the stress and multi-timezone work of todays world. Email, Chat, Skype, Whatsapp calls etc... will the duty sundries well after duty time. No one works to time or the typical 40 hours. Everything is planned around success. Delivering on time to customer at a lower cost with best features is the "in" thing for any Delivery Management professional associated with this Technology world. Once the delegation of activities are successful, it would help to balance the life even more better.

Q-12 In your working career so for, please share with us what have been top 2 or 3 accomplishments/work experience/your contributions to this field.

Initially I was part of the Core SCADA team at CMC R&D in Hyderabad, that was deployed to many programs those cater to different applications, like Load Dispatch Automation, Distribution Automation, Substation Automation, Traction and Building Management Systems. Later when I was in the USA, was part of successful development of a Document Manufacturing System and a Salesforce Automation system that has be used even now, in a larger scale. It gives the sense of satisfaction that systems have been built that are scalable and reliable. I was lucky to have some wealth in developing some of the startup ventures, and I have reaped the experience that has helped me to plan my work even more better.

Q-13 What are some Books, Websites and Publications that you recommend for Upcoming Professionals in your Industry?

New books are always being written that talks about Leadership etc. John Aldair books are very helpful. Biographies of the successful who made it big in the business world are very helpful too. For technology, TechCrunch and lots of articles that are shared in groups in LinkedIn are wonderful to learn and gain more insight.

Q-14 Could you tell us briefly about your family background?

I am married and blessed with kids. My wife is an MBA who helps me in my ventures in Operations. My kids are in high school. They love computers and do self learning. My father was into Hosiery business at Tirupur my hometown. My brother continues the tradition now.

Q-15 Can you tell us about a Role Model who Inspires you and why?

Bill Gates is one true Role Model I had from my College days. Apart from developing the products that are used by half the worlds computer population, he has been using his wealth for noble causes.

அரசியல் அதிகார செல்வாக்கு வைத்து எவ்வளவு நாள் தான் இந்தியாவில் காலம் ஓட்ட முடியும். கடவுள் இருக்கார். ஆனாலும் மோடி தான் பெஸ்ட்

என்னோடு பனி புரிந்த நண்பர் ஒருவர் கனடா அல்பேர்டா யுனிவர்சிடியில் படித்த பின் இப்போ பெரிய பதவியில். தெலுகு கதைகளும் எழுதுறார். நேரம் இருப்பின் சுதந்திரம். பட் பயந்தான்கொள்ளி. எனக்கு ரிப்ளை பண்றதில்லை. அவரிடம் வேலை கேட்டுவிட்டால்.

எல்லோருக்கும் அமைவதில்லை.. இறைவன் கொடுத்த வரம்.

இந்தியாவில் பால் கொடுக்க துபட்டா அல்லது சேலை தலைப்பு தான் லேக்டேசன் ஸ்டேசன். மனைவியின் அவதி ட்ரெயினில் தெரிந்தது.

தெரிந்தவர் முன் வாய் விட்டு சிரிக்க கூட தடையா?

உறவுகள் தொடர வேண்டும் என்றால் கடன் வைக்க வேண்டும். அன்பு.

எனக்கு மட்டும் நல்ல வாத்தியார்கள் வாய்த்திருந்தால் நான் நல்ல நிலையில் இருந்திருப்பேன். அவர்கள் நேரம், நானே கஷ்டப்பட்டு படித்தேன்.

எனக்கு இன்னும் டீ வரல !!!! சிறு வயதில் அரை கிளாஸ் காபி / டீ மட்டும் கொடுப்பார்கள்... தீங்காம். அப்பாவிடம் சிறிது டீ கேட்டது நினைவில் ! நண்பர் ஹாரிஸ் வீட்டில் ஒரு முறை அவர்கள் போடும் ஏலக்காய் டீ கேட்டு வாங்கி குடித்தது நினைவு.

அக்டோபர் 2010, இரவு 1 மணிக்கு வீடு திரும்பிக்கொண்டு இருந்தேன். அகரா பெரிய பட்டக்கத்தி வைத்து ஒருவன் குறுக்கே வர காரில் இடித்து 1/ போட்டு தப்பித்து அடுத்த ஜன்க்சனில் போலீசிடம் சொல்ல, தேடி யாரும் காணவில்லை என்றார்கள். இப்போது அந்த வழியில் போது பஸ் தான் . பயம். 2/

பெயர் தெரியாத ஆட்களை நிற்க வைக்க கழகங்கள் ஏன் முன் வருகின்றன? பண பலமா?

அது தான் வேலையே... பணம் வரும் விசயம் என்றால் சந்தோசம் தானே! இந்தியாலே நிறைய நண்பர்கள் ஆம்வே சேல்ஸ் முகவரா இருக்காங்க.

உணவு ஒழுக்கமே ஒருவனுக்கு நல்ல வேலையும் நிம்மதியும் தருகிறது. மதிய உணவு நேரம்.

கேட்கும் தொகுதிகள் கிடைத்தால் தான் விஜயகாந்த் கூட்டணியில் இருப்பார். கோவை, திருப்பூர், பொள்ளாச்சி, ஈரோடு போன்ற காவிகட்சி உள்ள இடங்கள் அடிதடி. அவர்களின் அதிக வாக்குகள்..

Mother

BEST STORY THAT WILL MAKE YOU CRY
One young man went to apply for a managerial position in a big company. He passed the initial interview, and now would meet th...e director for the final interview.

The director discovered from his CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent. He asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?" the youth answered "no".
" Was it your father who paid for your school fees?"
"My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees.” he replied.
" Where did your mother work?"
"My mother worked as clothes cleaner.”
The director requested the youth to show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.
" Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?"
"Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Besides, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.
The director said, "I have a request. When you go home today, go and clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.
The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back home, he asked his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to her son.
The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother winced when he touched it.
This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fees. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his education, his school activities and his future.
After cleaning his mother hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.
That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.
Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.
The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, when he asked: "Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"
The youth answered," I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'
“I know now what appreciation is. Without my mother, I would not be who I am today. By helping my mother, only now do I realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done on your own. And I have come to appreciate the importance and value of helping one’s family.
The director said, "This is what I am looking for in a manager. I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life.”
“You are hired.”
This young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and worked as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.
A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop an "entitlement mentality" and would always put himself first. He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others. For this kind of people, who may be good academically, they may be successful for a while, but eventually they would not feel a sense of achievement. They will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more. If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying our children instead?
You can let your child live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch on a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it. After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love them in a right way. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young person. The most important thing is your child learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done.

என் கீச்சல்கள்

பிரபலங்களிடம் இருந்து ம்ம் மட்டுமே பதிலாக வருகிறது.

ஒருவரிடம் எங்கிருந்து இந்த படத்தை எடுத்தீர்கள் என்றேன்.. உடனே கில்டி கான்சியச்னேஷ்.. தப்பா என்று பதில். அட மடயரே... இது பிரபலம் அதனால் கேட்டேன்.

கோச்சடையான் ஏப்ரல் 11 ரிலீஸ்.

படத்தை கொஞ்சம் சீக்கிரம் ரிலீஸ் பண்ணுங்க. கார்டூன் தானே...குழந்தைகள் கேட்கிறாங்க.

சம்பளம் எஷ்டு ? பேமிலி அக்கோ கஷ்டம் என்றீர் !

பையன் எம்.எஸ். (சி.எஸ்.) நார்த் டகோட்டா. விஸ்கான்சின்லே 6 வருடம். அங்கே பனி உலகம் தான். மைய்க்ரோசாப்ட்டர். இந்தியாலே அப்பாக்காக லாஸ்ட் ஒரு வருடம். இப்போ வாண்ட்ஸ் ஆப்சன்ஸ். பர்ண்ட் ப்ரிஜஸ். பச்சை அட்டை ஆப்சன் இன்னும் ரெடி இல்லே.

அவருக்கு பத்தாயிரம் திர்ஹம்ஸ் வேலை துபாஇய்லெ வேண்டாம்னு சொன்னார் அதனாலே தான் சம்பளம் கேட்டேன். அங்கு வேலை பண்ணுன நண்பர் இப்போ டென்வர் மூவ் ஆனார்.

அரசியல் ஒரு சாக்கடை தொழில் என்று தெரியும் வரை நாம் பிள்ளைகளை வளர்ப்பது மிகவும் கடினம்.

நானும் அந்த ரத்தம் தான். எங்கப்பன் சொத்து இழந்தது தான் மிச்சம்.

உங்க ஊர்லயும் இந்த கூட்டணி தமாசு இருக்கா?

வீட்டில் இந்த தலை வாரும் பிரச்சனைக்கு ஒரு முடிவே இல்லையா? மதியம் தலை வாருவதற்கும் பதிமூன்று வயது மகள் பெரும் புயலை கிள்ளபுகிறாள். கெட்டவார்த்தை ஆனது இதனால்.

துப்பாக்கி வைத்துக்கொள்ள பக்கத்து நாட்டில் அனுமதி மிகவும் சுலபமாம்.

நாம் மட்டுமே சார்ந்து படி எடுப்போம், ஆனால் மற்றவர் படிக்க எதுக்கு?

இருக்கட்டும்... அதன் மதிப்பு தீரும் போது மற்றவர்க்கு உபயோகப்படட்டுமே.

அங்கேயும்... மான் வேட்டைக்கு பென்சில்வேனியாவில் ஏர் ரைபிள் வாங்க இந்திய பாஸ்போர்ட் போதவில்லை.

அவன்

நண்பன்டா .... அவன்...

கல்லூரிக்கு பிறகு அவன் இத்தனை காலம் கோவையில் பிஸினஸ் செய்வதாக சொல்லிக்கொண்டு இருந்தார். தவறுதலாக லிங்க்டின் அழைப்பில் உண்மை வந்தது.

அந்த நண்பர் 6 வருடங்கள் நிஜமாக பிஸினஸ் செய்துவிட்டு விசா கோர்ஸ் மூலம் அமெரிக்கா சென்று இப்போ இன்போசிஸில் டெக்சாஸ் க்ளையண்ட். எப்படியோ நல்லா இரு!

கோவை சென்றபோதெல்லாம் அவன் இந்தியா போன் நம்பரை கால் பண்ண முடியலே. மெயில் காண்டெக்ட் மட்டுமே. அப்போ என்னை இந்தியா வரும்போது மட்டுமே அழைத்துள்ளான்.

குடும்பக் காரணத்திற்காக நான் இந்தியா 99 திரும்பிய நேரம் அவன் அமேரிக்கா புறப்பட்டு சென்றுள்ளான். அவன் வீட்டிருக்கும் ஏரியா போயுள்ளேன்.

எதற்காக இப்படி இருந்தான் என தெரியலே. இதற்கும் கல்லூரியில் வேறு டிபார்ட்மெண்ட். தமிழ் மன்றம் மூலம் பழக்கம்.

ஒருவன் எதற்காக நல்ல நிலைமையில் இருப்பதை வெளியில் காட்டிக்கொள்வதில்லை? அவனிடம் வேறு ஒரு குறையும் இல்லை.

அமெரிக்காவை பற்றி மிகவும் கேவலமாக சொல்லிக்கொண்டு திரிந்தவன் அவன். நான் அமெரிக்க பல்கலைகழகத்திற்கு அப்பளை செய்ததை வெறுத்தவன். இப்போ அவன் எம்பியே.

லிங்கடின்னில் பார்த்தால் கல்லூரி நண்பர் ஒருவரும் அவன் க்ரூபில் இல்லே. கல்லூரி பெயர் குறிப்பிடாமல் போடோ மட்டும் வைத்துள்ளான்.

என் பிரச்சனை என்னவென்றால், சில மாதங்கள் முன் பேசியவன் முதல் முறையாக வெளிநாடு செல்கிறேன் என்றான். இதில் என்னமோ உள்குத்து இருக்கு.

ஆதங்கத்தை வெளிபடுத்த சோசியல் மீடியா தான் துணை. இதையும் அவன் படிப்பான் உணர்ந்துக்கொள்வான். நல்லா இருடா நீ.

மே மாதம் மூன்றாம் தேதி, எனக்கு எழுபது வயது நிறைகிறது. இதற்கான அடையாளங்கள் என்ன என்று யோசித்துப் பார்க்கிறேன். மெரீனாவில் நடக்கும்போது எதிர்ப்படுபவர்கள் பெரும் பாலும் என்னைவிட சின்ன வயசுக்காரர்களாகத் தெரிகிறார்கள். ஒரு தாத்தா மாட்டினார். நிச்சயம் என்னைவிட மூத்தவர். சிமென்ட் பெஞ்சில், என் பக்கத்தில் வந்து உட்கார்...ந்தார்.

"யு ஆர் எ ரைட்டர்! எனக்கு எத்தனை வயசு சொல்லுங்க, பார்க்கலாம்!" என்று கண் சிமிட்டலுடன் கேட்டார்.

நான் யோசித்து, ‘‘கட்டை விரலால் மூக்கைத் தொடுங்கோ" என்றேன்.

"எதுக்குப்பா?"

"தொடுங்களேன்!"

சற்று வியப்புடன் தொட்டார்.

"மத்த விரல்களை றெக்கை மாதிரி அசை யுங்கோ!" என்றேன். ‘‘இதிலிருந்து கண்டுபிடிச்சுட முடியுமா, என்ன?’Õ என்று, விரல்களைச் சொன்னபடி அசைத் தார்.

"ரெண்டு கையையும் பரப்பி, ஏரோப்ளேன் மாதிரி வெச்சுண்டு ஒரே ஒரு தடவை லேசா குதிங்கோ. பாத்து... பாத்து..."

"இது என்னப்பா ட்ரிக்கு?" என்று அப்படியே செய்தார்.

"உங்களுக்கு இந்த மே பன்னண்டு வந்தா எண்பத்தோரு வயசு!" என்றேன்.

அசந்து போய், "கை குடு. எப்படிப்பா இத்தனை கரெக்டா சொன்னே?"

"ஒரு ட்ரிக்கும் இல்லை, சார்! நேத்திக்குதான் இதே பெஞ்சில், இதே சமயம் வந்து உட்கார்ந்து, உங்க வயசு, பர்த்டே எல்லாம் சொன் னீங்க. மறந்துட் டீங்க!" என்றேன். தாத்தா மாதிரி அத்தனை மோசம் இல்லை என்றாலும், எனக்கும் சமீபத்திய ஞாபகங்கள் சற்றே பிசகுகின்றன. ஒரு அறையிலிருந்து மற்றொரு அறைக்குச் சென்றால், எதற்காக வந்தோம் என்பது மறந்தே போகிறது. பெயர்கள் ஞாபகம் இருப்பதில்லை. ஆந்தைக்கு இங்கிலீஷில் என்ன என்று சட்டென நினைவு வருவதில்லை. ‘படையப்பா’வில் ரஜினிக்கு முன்னால் கால் போட்டுக் கொண்டு உட்கார்ந்தாரே... அந்த நடிகை யின் பெயர் என்ன என்று ஒரு நாள் அதிகாலை கண் விழித்ததும், ஒரு மணி நேரம் யோசித்தேன், கிட்டவில்லை.

மனைவி எழக் காத்திருந்து அவளிடம் கேட்டேன். "ரம்யா கிருஷ்ணன்" என்றாள். இம்மாதிரி, நியூரான்கள் களைத்துப் போவது தெரிகிறது. ஆனால், நீண்ட நாள் ஞாபகங்கள் பத்திரமாக இருக்கின்றன. அது மூளையில் வேறு பேட்டை போலும்! கிட்டத்தட்ட அறுபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன், சின்ன வயசில் கோயமுத்தூரில் அம்மா\அப்பாவுடன் ஜட்கா வண்டியில் "ஜகதலப்ரதாபன்" சினிமா போனது, ஒண்ணாம் கிளாஸ் டீச்சருக்கு ஆனந்த விகடனும், அமிர்தாஞ்சனும் கொண்டு போய்க் கொடுத்தது, பள்ளி மணியை அகாலமாக அடித்தது, எனக்குத் தம்பி பிறந்தது... இதெல்லாம் தெளிவாக ஞாபகம் உள்ளது. ஸ்ரீரங்கத்துக் கதைகள் அனைத்தும் என் நீண்ட நாள் ஞாபகங்களின் வடிவம்தான்!

டெல்லியில், பெட்ரோல் எழுபத்தைந்து பைசாவும், பால் ஐம்பத்தைந்து பைசாவும் கொடுத்து வாங்கி தாராளமாக வாழ்ந்தது, என் முதல் கதை, முதல் நாவல் பிரசுரமானது, எஸ்.ஏ.பி'யின் கடிதக் குறிப்பு எல்லாம் ஞாபகம் உள்ளது. ரம்யா கிருஷ்ணன் போன்ற மேட்டர்தான் சட்டென்று வழுக்கிவிடுகிறது.

மெரீனாவில், ஷார்ட்ஸ் ஸ்னீக்கரில் ஓடும் இளைஞர்களைப் பார்த்து முன்பு பொறாமைப்படுவேன். இப்போது புன்னகைக்கிறேன். பொதுவாகவே, பொறாமைப்படுவதற்கான விஷயங்களும், அதட்டிச் சொல்வதற்கான விஷயங்களும் குறைந்து வருகின்றன. ஹிந்துவின் "ஆபிச்சுவரி" பார்க்கையில், இறந்தவர் என்னைவிட சின்னவரா, பெரியவரா என்று முதலில் பார்ப்பேன். சின்னவராக இருந்தால், ‘பரவால்லை... நாம தப்பிச்சோம்!’ என்றும், பெரியவ ராக இருந்தால் கழித்துப் பார்த்து, ‘பரவால்லை... இன்னும் கொஞ்ச நாள் இருக்குÕ என்றும் எண்ணுவேன். எதிர்காலம் என்பதை இப்போதெல் லாம் வருஷக் கணக்கில் நினைத்துப் பார்ப்பது இல்லை. மாதக் கணக்கில்... ஏன், உடம்பு சரியில் லாமல் இருக்கும்போது வாரக் கணக்கில், நாள் கணக்கில் அந்தந்த நாளை வாழத் தோன்றுகிறது. Today I am alright, thank God!

சயின்ஸ் அதிகம் படித்ததால், கடவுளைப் பற்றிய குழப்பங்கள் தீர்க்க முடியாமல் இருக்கின்றன. யேட்ஸ் சொன்னதுபோல், "சிலர் கடவுள் இருக்கிறார் என்கிறார்கள். பிறர் கடவுள் இல்லை என்கிறார்கள். உண்மை ஒருக்கால் இரண்டுக்கும் இடையில் எங்கோ இருக்கிறது!".

ஆனால், டி.என்.ஏ. ரகசியத்தையும், உயிரின வேறுபாடுகளையும், அண்டசராசரங்களின் அளவையும் பார்க்கும்போது, நம்மை மீறிய சக்தி புலன் உணர்வுக்கும், நம் அற்ப வார்த்தைகளுக்கும் அகப்படாத ஒரு சக்தி இருப்பதில் எனக்கு நம்பிக்கை வந்துவிட்டது. நான் நாத்திகன் அல்ல. மிஞ்சிப்போனால், ரஸ்ஸல் படித்தபோது ‘அக்னாஸ்டிக்’காக அதாவது, கடவுள் இருப்பைப் பற்றித் தெரியாதவனாக இருந்திருக்கிறேன். மறுபிறவியில் எனக்கு நம்பிக்கை இல்லை. பிறந்தால் இதே ஞாபகங்கள், இதே முதுகுவலியுடன் தமிழ்நாட்டில் பிறக்க வேண்டும். தமிழில் மீண்டும் கதைகள் எழுத வேண்டும். நடக்கிற காரியமா? முற்றிலும் புதிய பிறப்பு, தேசம், பெயர், உடல் என்றால் அது மறுபிறவி அல்ல... வேறு பிறவி. மேலும், எங்கேயாவது ஸ்விஸ் நாட்டில் பிறந்து வைத்தால், பாஷை தெரியாமல் கஷ்டப்படுவேன்.

இறந்ததும் என்ன ஆகிறது என்பதைப் பற்றி நசிகேதனைப்போல யோசிக்கும் போது, சட்டென்று ஒரு திடுக்கிடல் ஏற்படும். அந்தச் சமயத்தில் மல்லிகை வாசனையையோ, ஒரு குழந்தையின் புன்சிரிப்பையோ எண்ணிப் பார்த்துக் கவனத்தைக் கலைத்துக்கொள்வேன். சொர்க்கம், நரகம் இதில் எல்லாம் நம்பிக்கை இல்லை. இரண்டும் இங்கே தான் என்று எண்ணுகிறேன். அப்படி ஒருக்கால் இருந்தால், நரகத்துக்குப் போகத்தான் விரும்புகிறேன். அங்கே தான் சுவாரஸ்யமான ஆசாமிகள் இருப்பார்கள். சொர்க்கத்தில், நித்ய அகண்ட பஜனைச் சத்தம் எனக்கு ஒரு நாளைக்கு மேல் தாங்காது.

ஆரம்பத்தில் இளைஞனாக இருந்த போது, ஏரோப்ளேன் ஓட்டவும், கித்தார் வாசித்து உலகை வெல்லவும், நிலவை விலை பேசவும் ஆசைப்பட்டேன். நாளடைவில் இந்த இச்சைகள் படிப்படி யாகத் திருத்தப்பட்டு, எளிமைப்படுத்தப் பட்டு, எழுபது வயதில் காலை எழுந் தவுடன் சுகமாக பாத்ரூம் போனாலே சந்தோஷப்படுகிறேன். வாழ்க்கையே இவ்வகையில் progressive compromises (படிப்படியான சமரசங்களால் ஆனது).

இன்றைய தினத்தில், என் டாப்டென் கவலைகள் அல்லது தேவைகள் என்றால்... முதலிடத்தில் உடல் நலம், மனநலம், மற்றவருக்குத் தொந்தரவு கொடுக்காமல் இருப்பது, தெரிந்தோ தெரியாமலோ யார் மனதையும் புண் படுத்தாமல் இருப்பது, இன்சொல், அனுதாபம், நல்ல காபி, நகைச்சுவை உணர்வு, நான்கு பக்கமாவது படிப்பது, எழுதுவது போன்றவை பட்டியலில் உள்ளன. பணம் அதில் இல்லை. முதலிலேயே அது லிஸ்ட்டை விட்டுப் போய்விட்டது.

தி.ஜானகிராமனின் "கொட்டு மேளம்" கதையில் வரும் டாக்டருக்குப் போல, மனைவி அவ்வப்போது வர வேண்டிய பணத்தையும், ஏமாற்றிய ஜனங்களை யும் எனக்குச் சொல்லிக் காட்டுவாள். அவளும் இப்போது இதில் பயனில்லை என்று நிறுத்திவிட்டாள். பணம் பிரதானமாக இல்லாததால், இன்று எழுபது வயசில் மனச்சாட்சி உறுத்தாமல் வாழ முடிகிறது. ஜெயிலுக்குப் போன தில்லை. ஒரே ஒரு தடவை டில்லியிலும், ஒரு தடவை பெங்களூரிலும் ஒன்வேயில் ஸ்கூட்டர் ஓட்டியதால், மாஜிஸ்ட்ரேட் கோர்ட்டுக்குப் போயிருக்கிறேன். வோட்டிங் மெஷினுக் காக சாட்சி சொல்ல, கேரளா ஹைகோர்ட் டில் இருந்து சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட் வரை போயிருக்கிறேன்.

அம்பலம் இணைய (www.ambalam.com) இதழில் ஒரு வாசகர் கேள்வி கேட்டிருந்தார்... "நாற்பது வருஷ மாக உங்களைத் தொடர்ந்து படித்து வருகிறேனே... என்னைப் பற்றி என்ன நினைக்கிறீர் கள்?" என்று.

நீண்ட யோசனைக்குப் பிறகு பதில் அளித்தேன்... "நாற்பது வருஷம் உங்களைத் தொடர்ந்து படிக்க வைத்திருக்கிறேனே, என்னைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் என்ன நினைக்கிறீர்களோ அதேதான்!" என்று. என் எழுத்து, என்னைப் பல தேசங்களுக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றிருக்கிறது. பல வகைப்பட்ட மனிதர்களைச் சந்திக்க வைத்திருக்கிறது. பிரைவேட் ஜெட்டி லிருந்து ஃப்ரீமாண்ட் மிஷன் பீக் மலை யுச்சி மாளிகை வரை அனுமதித்திருக்கிறது. பெயர் தெரியாத வாசகர்கள் நள்ளிரவில் கூப்பிட்டுப் பாராட்டியிருக் கிறார்கள். மனைவிமார்கள் அழுதிருக்கிறார்கள். கணவன்கள், மனைவிகள் மேல் சந்தேகப்பட்டுத் தற்கொலை செய்து கொள்ளுமுன், கடைசி ஆறுதலுக்கு என்னை விளித்திருக்கிறார்கள். ‘ரோஜா’ வெளிவந்த சமயத்தில், பெங்களூருக் குத் தனியாக ஓடி வந்த இளம்பெண் அதிகாலை ஜலஹள்ளியில், ‘அரவிந்த சாமியுடன் என்னை மண முடி!’ என்று கதவைத் தட்டி யிருக்கிறாள். "ஆ" கதையைப் படித்துவிட்டு, "என் மகளை மணம் செய்துகொள்ள வேண் டும்" என்று திருநெல்வேலில் இருந்து வந்த மனநிலை சரியில்லாத இளைஞரும், ‘பாலம்’ கதையைப் படித்து விட்டு என்னைக் கொல்ல வர தேதி கேட்டிருந்த கோவை வாசியும் என் வாசகர்கள்தான். வாழ்க்கையின் அத்தனை பிரச்னைகளுக்கும், முதுகுவலியில் இருந்து முண்டகோபனிஷத் வரை யோசனை சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்கள்; கேட்டிருக்கிறார்கள். மிகச் சிறந்த நண்பர்களையும், அற்புதக் கணங்களையும் என் எழுத்தால் பெற்றிருக்கிறேன். அதுதான் என்னுடைய நோபெல்!
