An MBA and a BE student go on a camping trip, set up their tent and fell asleep.

Some hours later, the BE wakes his MBA friend and says

"Look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

The MBA replies, "I see millions of stars."

The BE asks, "What does that tell you?"

கொழுக்கட்டை, மற்றும் சுண்டல் நிச்சயம். எங்க வீட்டில் கார கொழுக்கட்டை, மற்றும் இனிப்பு வகை மாத்திரம்!

மீண்டும் ஒரு டிவிட்டரர்கள் சந்திப்பு

சென்ற மாதம் ( ஆகஸ்டில் ஒரு மழை இல்லாத நன்-நாளில்)  பெங்களூரில் மீண்டும் ஒரு டிவிட்டரர்கள் சந்திப்பு என்னை பொறுத்த வரை இனிதாக நடந்தேறியது. 

என்று மீட் செய்தோம்? வந்தது யாரெல்லாம்? பெயர்கள் வேண்டாமே?. என் போட்டோ இருக்கும் என் ப்ளாக் ஹிச்டோரி முக்கியம்!

இருபது வருடங்களாக வேலை செய்து பணம்  சம்பாரித்து இருந்தாலும், நண்பர்கள் சம்பாரிக்க இணையத்தில் தேடுவது - வெட்டி வேலை என்று மனைவி திட்டினாலும் - எதோ ஒரு பொழுது போக்குக்காக - மீட்டிங் என்று செல்வது தவறாகவே படினும், ஏதோவொன்று சரியென்று சொல்கிறது.

சரி தானே ?

போட்டோ கொடுத்த நண்பருக்கு ஆயிரம் கோடி நமஸ்காரங்கள். :-)  எவ்வளவு அழகா படம் பிடிச்சிருக்கீங்க?

சந்திப்புகள்

சந்திப்புகள் சில சுவாரசியமானவை.

சென்ற வாரம் அம்மா பெங்களூரு வந்து திரும்ப சென்றார். அம்மாவின் சொந்தங்கள் ( ரொம்ப பழைய... விஜய நகர், ஒசல்லி ரோடு ஏரியா.. ) வந்த பார்த்து சென்றார்கள். தாத்தாவின் உதவிகள், இன்றும் மரியாதை கொடுக்கிறது.

திருப்பூர் - பெங்களூரு - இரண்டு வழியிலும், சென்று அம்மாவை அழைத்து - திரும்ப திருப்பி விட்டு வந்தேன். வரும் போதெல்லாம் ஒரு வாரம் தான் இங்கு இருக்கிறார்கள். திருப்பூர் போல வருமா என்கிறார்கள்.

இப்போதெல்லாம் திருப்பூர் தூரம் அதிகமில்லை என்றே தோன்றுது.

வழுக்கி செல்லும் சாலைகள்...  120 கிலோ மீட்டர் வேகம் செல்லலாம்... ஒரு முறை ப்ரேக் எடுத்தால் போதும்.

நாங்கள் இருக்கும் பி ஜி ரோடு - எலக்ட்ரானிக் சிடி - ஹோசூர் - சேலம் - திருப்பூர். செல்லும் போது சூலகிரி காமத்தில் டிபன். வரும் போது லஞ்ச தொப்பூர் அருகில்

முதலில் மேட்டூர் வழி தான் செல்வோம். ரோடு சரியில்லை. செங்கப்பள்ளி - சேலம் டோல் ரோடு வந்ததில் இருந்து மகிழ்ச்சி.

பெட்ரோல் விலை பெங்களூரில்  57.84 ஹோசூரில் 56.33 மிச்சம் அதிகமில்லை. :-) திருப்பூர் சென்று  வர - 600 கிலோமீட்டருக்கு சுமார் 40 லிட்டர் பெட்ரோல் ஆகுது.

என்னை சந்தித்த திருப்பூர் தே.மு.தி.க நண்பர் ( கூட பள்ளியில் படித்தவர் ) என்னை மாதிரி படித்த ஆட்கள் தான் அரசியலுக்கு வர வைக்கிறாராம்!

அடுத்த ட்ரிப் இனி தீபாவளிக்கு தான்!

நேற்றிரவு பலே பாண்டியா படம் நண்பரோடு பார்த்தேன். மிக இழுவை. உட்கார முடியலே. விஜய் டிவி சிங்கர்கள் தான் எல்லா பாடல்களும் பாடினார்களா? பாடகர்களும் திரையில்!

கவார்டர்கள்

1994 ஆகஸ்ட்.

அமேரிக்கா சென்ற புதிது.

ஒரு சமயம் தனியாக ஒரு நாள் ட்ரிப்பாக நியூ ஜெர்சி நண்பரை பார்க்க சென்ற பொது, ட்ரெயினில் வந்து  இரவு எட்டு மணி அளவில் இறங்கி, நியூ யார்க் பெண்(!) ஸ்டேசனில் நியூ ஹவென் பஸ்ஸை தவற விட்டேன் ... (இயற்கை அழைப்பு) 

அடுத்த பஸ் வரும் (ஒரு மணி நேரம்) வரை நிற்க வேண்டும். ப்லைன்வில் (5 மைல்ஸ்) வந்து அழைத்து செல்ல வருகிறேன் என்ற நண்பருக்கு லேட்டாக வருகிறேன் என்ற போன்கால் செய்ய வேண்டிய நிலை.

கையில் கவார்டர்கள் இல்லை.

கலக்ட் கால் செய்யவும் பயம், நண்பர் திட்டிவிட்டால்...  ஒருவரிடம் ஒரு டாலர் கொடுத்து சில்லறை வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டேன்.... இல்லை என்றார். இருந்தாலும் கொடுத்திருக்கமாட்டார்... (பிரவுன்ஸ்..)

என்ன செய்ய என்று யோசித்த போது,  சான்ட்விச் ($1 .5 ) விற்கும் கடை பார்த்தேன்.  எப்படியும் அந்த சமயம் பசி தான். சில்லறை கிடைத்தது.. நண்பரிடம் லேட்டாக வருவதாக சொன்னேன்.  அப்படி கால் செய்திருக்காவிட்டால், நண்பரிடம் திட்டு... தேவையிலாமல் வெயிட் செய்யவைக்க இருந்தது.. அவர் அங்கு இல்லாவிட்டால்... டாக்சி தான் எடுத்திருக்க வேண்டும்.  அது கட்டுபடியாகியிருக்காது, மேலும் ஓட்டும் கருப்பர்களை கண்டால் மிக பயம்!

ஜெயமோகன் சந்திப்பு பற்றி

திங்கள் காலை இப்படி துவங்கனுமா?

இந்த பதிவை முதலில் படியுங்கள்.... ஜெயமோகன் சந்திப்பு பற்றி

எழுதிய மணிகண்டன் அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு பதில்.

இதை ஒரு அறிமுக, வரவேற்பு , சந்திப்பு கூட்டமாக தான் நான் நினைத்து ஜெயமோகனிடம் கேட்டு, எந்த ஒரு பார்மட்டும் ( நோக்கு? ) இல்லாமல் நடத்தினோம். ( இணையத்தில் அவரோடு தொடர்புடைய நண்பர்களை அழைத்தேன், சிலர் அவராக வந்து ஒட்டிகொண்டார்கள் - ஜெயமோகனிடம் இடம் கேட்டு ) அடுத்த முறை, யார் இந்த மாதிரி கூட்டம் நடத்த முன் வருகிறார்களோ, அவர்களிடம் உங்கள் அபிலாசையை தெரிவியுங்கள். அல்லது அடுத்த முறை அவர் இங்கு வரும் போது, நீங்களே முன் நின்று நடத்துங்கள்.

முதலில் உங்களை பற்றி ஒருவரிடமும் அறிமுகப்படுத்திக்கொள்ள முயற்சி எடுக்கவில்லை. இன்றோவேர்டாக    இருக்கலாம், என்று நான் நினைத்தேன்.

எவ்வளவு அமைதியாக இருந்து விட்டு, கேவலமாக ஒரு பதிவு வேறு போட்டு, வேதனை பட செய்கிறீர்கள் !

ஜெயமோகன் அவராக தான் சினிமாவை முன் வைத்து பேசினார். சில சமயம் இலக்கியம் சினிமாவினால் அடிபட்டு போகும்!  இது தான் கோவையிலும் நடந்துள்ளது.

ஐ.டி துறை மூலம் விலைவாசி ஏறுதா ?

ஐ.டி துறை என்றாலே விலைவாசி ஜாஸ்தி செய்துவிட்ட ஆட்கள் என்ற பட்டம் இருக்கு.

வேலைக்கு போகும் போது நல்ல துணி உடுத்த வேண்டும் என்ற ஆடம்பரம் இல்லா நிலை  - துணிக்கடைக்கு வியாபாரம், மேன்மேலும் அதிகம் சம்பாரிக்க ஆசைப்பட்டு விலை அதிகமான ஐட்டங்கள் வரும். அது தான் பேசன் என்று விளம்பரம் டிவி மூலம் செய்வார்கள். கெட்டது குட்டிசெவுரு... கிளிஞ்சது அப்பன் டவுசரு என்று சொல்வார்கள். அந்த கதை தான்.

வாங்கும் சம்பளத்தை விட அதிகம் செலவு செய்ய வைக்கும்.

வீடு வாங்குவதும் அப்படிதான்...

நண்பர்கள் வாங்கினால் இடம் வாங்க தூண்டும் அபார்ட்மென்ட் வாங்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசை வரும். அவர்களுக்கும் ரெபரல் பீ கிடைக்கும். மாதத்தவணை கொடுக்க வங்கிகள் ரெடி.

இரண்டு வருடம் முன் ஒரு இடம் வாங்கினேன். ( நண்பர் சொல்லித்தான் ) இன்னும் விலை ஏறவில்லை. பார்ப்போம்... :-) இருப்பதற்கு சொந்த வீடு இல்லை.அது ஒரு தனி கதை. ( ஒரு ஊரில் நிலை இருந்தால் தானே? )

ஐ.டி. துறையில்  வரும் சம்பளத்தில் ( நிலையான வேலை கிடையாது ) எல்லாக்கடன்களும் கட்டியது போக, மேற்கொண்டு செலவு செய்ய ( கல்யாணம் ஆகி இருந்தால் ) பெர்சனல் லோன் வாங்குவார்கள்.

 










சேமிப்பு என்ற வழி இருக்காது.

இன்சூரன்சுக்கே (அதை ஏன் கேட்கிறீர்கள்... உயிர் மதிப்பாம்... ஹெல்த் பாலிசியாம் - எதோ நோய் வந்துவிடும் என்கிற மாதிரி... தேவையில்லாமல் சாப்பிட்டால்  - பணம் வருகிறது என்று... நோய் வரத்தானே செய்யும்? ) கடன் வாங்கி கட்டும் நிலைமை வரும்.

இதற்கு அரசாங்கம் துணை போகும். எப்படி? டேக்ஸ் பெனிபிட். இப்படி வருடம் வருமானத்தில் பாதி போய் விடும். மீதி, கஷ்டம் தான்.

நல்ல வேலை சூதாட்டம் மாதிரி ஸ்டாக் மார்கட் இருக்கு. முசோல் பண்டு இருக்கு. எப்படியும் கம்பெனி ஸ்டாக்குகள் ( குதிரைகள்? ) விலை ஏறி இறங்கிகொண்டு தான் இருக்கும். எவனாவது மடையன் இருபது வருடத்தில் ஆகும் மதிப்புக்கு இன்று வாங்க சொல்வான் டிவியில். நாங்களும் நம்பனும்.  விலை இறங்கினால்... இதெல்லாம் சகஜம் என்பார்கள். குருட்டு அதிர்ஷ்டம் என்பார்கள். அது இருந்தால் போதும்.

இங்கே நண்பனுக்கு நண்பன் தான் எதிரி. கல்யாணம் ஆகியிருந்தால் மனைவிமார்கள் மற்றவர்களை பார்த்து நச்சரித்து - வாழ்க்கையை கெடுக்க ப்லேன் கொடுப்பார்கள். அது வேண்டும், இது வேண்டும் என்று... கொடுமைங்க அது. கல்யாணம் ஆகாதவர்கள் தேவையில்லாமல் துணிக்கு, ஹோட்டல் சாப்பாடுக்கு ... என்று செலவு செய்வார்கள். மேகி நூடில்ஸ் இருக்கு சிலருக்கு. ( கேரளா நண்பர்கள் இரவில் நேந்திரம் பழங்கள் மட்டும் - நல்ல பழக்கங்க அது )  நன்றாகவே மிச்சம் செய்வார்கள். பிழைக்க தெரிந்தவர்கள்.


எவ்வளவு பணம் இருந்தாலும்... அம்மா வீட்டிற்கு கொடுக்கணும்.. சம்பளம் வரவில்லை என்றால் யாருக்கு கவலை? அது தான் நீ வேலை கிடைத்தவுடன் மாதம் லட்சங்களில் அள்ளுவியே? என்பார்கள். தங்கை குடும்பத்திற்கு அழுகனும்...

காரில் செல்வார்கள் பஸ் மூலம் செல்லும் இடத்திற்கு.... மூன்று மடங்கு பணம் கொடுத்து சினிமா பார்ப்பார்கள் - மல்டிப்லேக்சில்...

ரிசசெனில் வேலை போனால், ஒருத்தனும் பார்க்க கூட வர மாட்டார்கள். செலவு செய்ய முடியாதே!

அதென்னவோ வெளிநாட்டு வாழ் இந்தியர்கள் கஷ்டப்பட்டு தான் பாட வேண்டும் என்ற விதி போல. கேட்கும் போதெல்லாம் என்ன பண்றது கஷ்டம் என்பார்கள். எனக்கு சில தெலுகு நண்பர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள்... நல்ல மாதிரி - உள்ளதை உள்ளபடி சொல்வார்கள்...  அவர்கள் இனத்திற்கு மட்டும் உதவுவார்கள்.

கடைசியாக வேலை தேடுவதற்கு நண்பர்கள் உதவுவார்கள் என்ற நம்பிக்கை வாழ்கையில் வைத்துக்கொண்டு வாழ வேண்டியது தான்.

விலைவாசியாவது மண்ணாங்கட்டியாவது .

நண்பரே எங்கே போகணும், கிரெடிட் கார்ட் இருக்க பயம் ஏன்!

எனக்கு ட்விட்டர் மூலம் ஒரு கதை வந்தது...

யாத்ரிகன் என்பவர் அனுப்பியதாம்...

நாளை பொழுது இனிய பொழுதாக அமையட்டும்! வாழ்த்துகள் !!

ஒரு நகரத்திற்கு சட்டமிருந்தது. அதன்படி யார் வேண்டுமென்றாலும் அந்த நகரத்திற்கு ராஜாவாக வரமுடியும். ஆனால், அந்தப் பதவி ஐந்தாண்டுகள் மட்டுமே! ஐந்தாண்டு முடிந்த அடுத்த நாளே மன்னனை ஆற்றின் கரைக்கு மறுபுறம் உள்ள காட்டில் விட்டுவிடுவார்கள்.

அந்தக் காட்டில் மனிதர்கள் கிடையாது. வெறும் கொடிய விலங்குகள் மட்டுமே! மன்னன் காட்டிற்குள் நுழைந்தால் போதும்; வனவிலங்குகள் கொன்று தீர்த்துவிடும். இந்த சட்டத்தை யாராலும் மாற்ற இயலாது. இந்த நிபந்தனைகளுக்கு ஒப்புக் கொண்டவன் மட்டுமே அரியணையில் அமரப் பொருத்தமானவன். ஆக, மன்னனாக முடிசூட்டிக் கொண்டவனின் தலையெழுத்து, ஐந்தாண்டுகளுக்குப் பின் கட்டாய மரணம்.

இந்தக் கடுமையான சட்டத்துக்கு பயந்தே யாரும் அந்தப் பதவிக்கு ஆசைபடாமலிருந்ததால் அந்த அரியணை பெரும்பாலும் காலியாகவே இருந்தது. இருப்பினும் ஒரு சிலர் 'எப்படியிருந்தாலும் சாகத்தானே போகிறோம்; மன்னனாகவே மடியலாமே!' என்று பதவி ஏற்பதுண்டு. அதிலும் பாதி மன்னர்கள் இடையிலேயே மாரடைப்பால் மரணமடைவதுமுண்டு.

இப்படி ஒரு மன்னனுக்கு ஐந்து ஆண்டு ஆட்சிக்காலம் முடிந்தது. அன்று ஆற்றின் கரையைக் கடந்து காட்டிற்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும். அவனை வழியனுப்ப நாடே திரண்டிருந்தது.

மன்னன் வந்தான், அவனுடைய சிறப்பான ஆடைகளையும் நகைகளையும் அணிந்து, முடிசூடி, தங்க வாளேந்தி வைரங்கள் மின்ன மக்கள் முன் நின்றான். மக்கள் வாயைப் பிளந்தனர் ''இன்னும் அரை மணிநேரத்தில் சாகப் போகிறான் ; அதற்கு இவ்வளவு அலங்காரமா!''

தான் செல்லவிருந்த படகைப் பார்த்துவிட்டு சினத்துடன் கூறினான், ''மன்னன் செல்லும் படகா இது! பெரிய படகைக் கொண்டு வாருங்கள்! நான் நின்றுகொண்டா செல்வது! சிம்மாசனத்தைக் கொண்டு வாருங்கள்!''

கட்டளைகள் பறந்தன; காரியங்கள் நடந்தன! சற்று நேரத்தில் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட அழகான படகு ஆற்று நீரைத் கிழித்துக் கொண்டு மறுகரை நோக்கிப் பயணித்தது.

மக்கள் திகைத்து நிற்க, மன்னன் கையசைக்க பயணம் தொடர்ந்தது.

மிகவும் அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தவன் படகோட்டியே! காரணம், இதுவரை அவன் மறுகரைக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்ற எந்த மன்னனும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக சென்றதில்லை. அழுது புலம்பி, புரண்டு, வெம்பிச் செல்வார்கள். இவனோ, மகிழ்ச்சிக் களிப்பில் பொங்கி வழிகிறான்.

படகோட்டி பொறுத்துக்கொள்ள முடியாமல் கேட்டான் ''மன்னா! எங்கே செல்கிறீர்கள் தெரியுமா?''

''தெரியும் மறுகரைக்குச் செல்கிறேன்!''

''அங்கே சென்றவர்கள் திரும்ப இந்த நகரத்திற்கு வந்ததில்லை தெரியுமா?''

''தெரியும். நானும் திரும்ப இந்த நகரத்திற்கு வரப் போவதில்லை!''

''பின்னே எப்படி உங்களால் இவ்வளவு மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருக்க முடிகிறது?''

''அதுவா! நான் என்ன செய்தேன் தெரியுமா? ஆட்சிக்கு வந்த ஓராண்டு முடிவில் ஆயிரம் வேட்டைக்காரர்களைக் காட்டிற்கு அனுப்பினேன்; அவர்கள் கொடிய விலங்குகளை வேட்டையாடிக் கொன்று விட்டார்கள்!

இரண்டாமாண்டு முடிவில் ஆயிரம் விவசாயிகள் சென்றார்கள்; காட்டைத் திருத்தி உழுதார்கள்; இன்று ஏராளமான தானியங்கள் காய்கறிகள்.

மூன்றாமாண்டு முடிவில் ஆயிரம் கட்டடக்கலை வல்லுநர்கள், தொழிலாளர்கள் சென்றனர். இன்று வீடு, வாசல், அரண்மனை, அந்தப்புரம், சாலைகள் எல்லாம் தயார்!

நான்காம் ஆண்டு முடிவில் ஆயிரம் அரசு அதிகாரிகள் சென்றனர். நிர்வாகம் சீரடைந்தது. இந்த 4000 பேரும் தங்கள் மனைவி, குழந்தைகளுடன் சென்று அங்கே வாழ்கின்றனர்.

Bangalore - Be Aware of Car stopping thiefs

Couple of days back, following information was shared in our apartment mail. Hope it helps others also. Take note of the following security guidelines:

 

ü  Drive carefully and never resort to 'Hit and Run'

ü  Always keep doors of your vehicle locked from the inside while driving

ü  Remain calm and do not panic

ü  Avoid parking / stopping your vehicles at an isolated place

ü  Do not pick up fights as this could lead to physical harm

ü  Pay attention to and be aware of landmarks on the routes that you commute within the city

 

We shld report and seek help if we find ourself or are witness to an untoward situation.

**Modus operandi of the recent reports of extorting money by a motorcycle gang

 

The group usually targets cars with single occupants during day time. They signal the driver to stop, by continuously honking from the rear of the car. They scare the occupant by stating that they have caused an accident on the way resulting in an injury to someone and force the driver to withdraw money from ATMs and part with their valuables.

The group is known to use vehicles with registration plates in Kannada, making it difficult for most people to read.
