M Vijay and Mukul Anand had a record partnership for first wicket, and fell short of national record by 4 runs. (3 runs less than OR)

Tamilnadu has been in Ranji finals for 5 times and won once in 87-88! K Srikkanth would remember!
Also Madras participated 4 times in the finals.
