I was reading an article by a famous Tamil author where he talks about
interacting with an old time famous writer and who was instrumental in
writing in leading magazines and who has also helped this author I am
talking about.

Note the difference here - author versus writer.

Author - is one who writes for his own wish (My liking score 70%)
Writer - is on who writes for his readers wish (My liking score 99%)
