Last Summer, with kids vacation on cards, we decided to take a trip to the western shores of India. From Bangalore we wanted to drive to Palolem, South Goa about 420 kms driving distance.
We started on a Saturday early morning and drove to Chickmagalur first. Stayed at a reasonable hotel there for the night. Went to Muliyanangiri hills... the drive was fantastic.
Next day morning after the Town Café Masala Dosa and Vada, we started for Shimoga Jog Falls and onward to Palolem via Karwar.
Though there wasn't much of water enjoyed the trip to Jog Falls. Then reached Palolem in the evening, after a small stopoever at Karwar to see the submarine there.
We stayed at Palolem beach resort. Though it was expensive for the facilities, we enjoyed staying closer to sea and the shore. Had good food over the next 2 days, and started the 3rd day morning and reached Bangalore, via Hubli on NH4.
