Good Stock Picks at Your Own Risk
All about Warren Buffet - (c) as found on net
billion to charity. Here are some very interesting aspects of his life:
1. He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!
2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.
3. He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha , that he bought after he got married
50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.
4. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.
5. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.
6. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis.
He has given his CEO's only two rules.
7. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself
some pop corn and watch Television.
8. Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think
he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.
9. Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.
His advice to young people: "Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself and Remember:
A. Money doesn't create man but it is the man who created money.
B. Live your life as simple as you are.
C. Don't do what others say, just listen to them, but do what makes you feel good.
D. Don't go on brand name; just wear those things in which you feel comfortable.
E. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things; just spend on things that you really need.
F. After all it's your life, then why give others the chance to rule your life."

Friendship
I was sitting here thinking of the words i want to say
But they wouldn't come out right so i found another way
I opened my notepad and i wrote this poem for you
But there's no way to thank you for everything you do
For always being nice to me and staying by my side
For helping fix my problems and never leaving me behind
For accepting my thoughts and feelings though you dont understand
For never giving up on me and being my best friend
For making me laugh and letting me cry
And saying you'd miss me if i were to die
Everything you mean to me you could never know
In all the ways you've changed my life i could never show
The way you take care of me you're my shining star
And though it's so incredible that's just the way you are
Before i get too mushy it's time for me to go
But before i stop there's one thing you should know
As long as we are living no matter when or where
If you need me, i'll be there
I'll climb a thousand mountains and swim a thousand seas
Anything to be there because you've been there for me
This poem goes out to all the special people in my life
There is a miracle called friendship, that dwells in the heartYou do not know how it happens or when it gets its start
But you know the special lift it always brings
You realize that friendship is God's most precious gift!

THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR CELLPHONE COULD DO
Not verified, but If true, this could be very useful.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT & USEFUL.
There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies.
Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it: -
((1))
EMERGENCY
The Emergency Number worldwide for **Mobile** is 112
If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency,
dial 112
and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you,
and interestingly this number 112 can be dialled even if the keypad is locked.
**Try it out.**
((2))
Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote keys?
This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:
If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call
someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock.
Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away,
and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
((3))
Hidden battery power
Imagine your cell battery is very low , you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger.
Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery.
To activate, press the keys
*3370#
Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery.
This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time...
((4))
How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:
* # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.
You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either.
((5))
Be care while using your mobile phone
When you try to call someone through mobile phone, don't put your mobile closer to your ears until the recipient answers. Because directly after dialling, the mobile phone would use it's maximum signalling power, which is: 2 watts = 33dbi, Plz Be Careful, Message as received (Save your brain) Please use left ear while using cell (mobile), because if you use the right one it will affect brain directly. This is a true fact from Apollo medical team.
Please spread this useful information around
SAFETY BY ALL FOR ALL

9 Steps to Career Success and Motivation
Once you start with a job, other than getting acclimated to your new surroundings… Constantly ask yourself, are you up for the challenge?
What do you do next? You think like a champ!
To get better results, try doing the following:
1.Talk to your boss. Sit down and have a very direct and pointed dialogue with your boss about your future in the employer. Stress that you want your job performance to meet the business's goals. Share your own job goals with him or her. Your manager will respect this display of confidence and maturity.
2.Ask for more. Never stick to a given work time or schedule. Do more! Volunteering to help out other departments or teams - or simply asking for more responsibilities - increases your value within the organization. Asking for additional work shows an interest and desire to help your department and employer to succeed. Never fake that you have had the experience, but learn. You cannot become a department head suddenly from being a junior manager, unless there is no other choice for the organization and you also show strength that you can achieve.
3.Sharpen your people skills. Never yell at anyone. Be polite. Give respect to the position of the person. Also dont question a senior person's judgement, as they are up there with their own acumen. Strong interpersonal skills play a crucial role in gaining the respect of your executive and coworkers; they will also attract the notice of outside influencers who might open new doors of chance for you. Be friendly, outgoing, and personable. Listen carefully to individuals, and practice being a clear and effective communicator.
4.Be innovative. Never be afraid to think outside of the box and put your company acumen to work. Stay on the lookout for creative solutions to problems that will make you - and your boss - look good.
5.Find a mentor. Develop mentoring relationships, either inside or outside the employer. Recent studies have shown that four out of five promotions are influenced by a mentor higher up in the business. Mentors are also great sources of facts and job guidance.
6.Self-promotion. Learn the fine art of self-promotion. If you have had biggest achievements or created stunning programs, make sure people know about it - especially those in influential positions who could help you advance professionally. Let it be known that you are seeking a promotion or the next step up in your career.
7.Keep learning. A proven way to advance in your career is to be continually acquiring new knowledge. Stay on top of trends or developments in your field and make sure that your current résumé reflects those needed skills.
8.Network. Strengthen your personal network and join professional organizations, attend industry conferences, or even volunteer. The more you are aware of your strengths and abilities, the better your chances of hearing about any new opportunities that might arise for bettering your career.
9.Build your reputation. In business, your reputation is the nearly all valuable thing you own. Be known for being dependable, businesslike, and cooperative. Act and look the part by dressing professionally. Make a name for yourself by attending conferences, networking with peers or writing articles.
Good Luck!

New budget ideas for a super budget, Mr PC!
Here are my proper suggestions to make life simple in India - budget expectations.
* Increase service tax to 15%
* Drop the surcharges.
* Bring the honesty pays policy and give a rebate for charity contributions, upto 10% - not NREG, but a Govt. setup fund, when no one cat eat it. Remember Rajiv Gandhi told, only 5% reaches on the budget plan meant for poor?
* Unemployed should get training and some money to eat. Set the training time to 6 months with a subsidy of Rs 12,000/- per individual. This should be administered jointly by state and center - equal contribution. This is apart from NREG - hard labour.
* Make usage and taxation ambit of petro-products under national purview - federal only - easy to administer the price linked to international market movements and compensate the state for revenue loss. (All VAT is easy right?)

Swadesi (Found on the net! Not my own thoughts!)
Our Economy is in your hands.
Do you know this, INDIAN economy can be in a crisis –
A cold drink that costs only 70/80 paisa to produce is sold for NINE rupees
Did you know that " COCA COLA " and " SPRITE " belong to the same multinational company, "COCA COLA " ?
On one hand coke advertisements say that ' JO CHAHO HOJAYE, COCACOLA ENJOY'
(i.e. . whatever the hell, let it happen, you drink coke) ; and on the other hand,
Sprite says that 'BHUJAO ONLY PYAS, BAKI ALL BAKWAS'
(i.e. drinks can just quench thirst all other claims are false).
What can you do ?
You can consider some of the better alternatives to aerated drinks.
For that matter PEPSI is also the same
You can drink LEMON JUICE, FRESH FRUIT JUICES, CHILLED LASSI (SWEET OR SOUR), BUTTER MILK, COCONUT WATER, JALJEERA, ENERJEE, MASALA MILK........ ..
Everyone deserves a healthy drink, including you!
Over and above all this, economic sanctions have been imposed on us. We have nothing against
Multinational companies, but to protect us! and your own interests we request everybody to use INDIAN products.
What you can do about it ?
1. Buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.
2. ENROLL as many people as possible for this cause.
Each individual should become a leader for this awareness.
This is the only way to save our country from severe economic crisis.
You don't need to give-up your lifestyle. You just need to choose an alternate product.
All categories of products are available from WHOLLY owned INDIAN COMPANIES.
LIST OF PRODUCTS
1. BATHING SOAP:
USE - CINTHOL & OTHER GODREJ BRANDS, SANTOOR, WIPRO SHIKAKAI, MYSORE SANDAL, MARGO, NEEM, EVITA, MEDIMIX, GANGA , NIRMA BATH & CHANDRIKA .
2. TOOTH PASTE:
USE - NEEM, BABOOL, PROMISE, VICO VAJRADANTI, PRUDENT, DABUR PRODUCTS, MESWAK.
3. TOOTH BRUSH:
4. SHAVING CREAM:
5. BLADE:
USE - SUPERMAX, TOPAZ, LAZER, ASHOKA.
6. TALCUM POWDER:
USE - SANTOOR, GOKUL, CINTHOL, WIPRO BABY POWDER, BOROPLUS
7. MILK POWDER:
USE - INDIANA , AMUL, AMULYA .
8. SHAMPOO:
USE - LAKME, NIRMA, VELVET
And above all, CLOTHES - STOP BUYING –
Do you know that the cotton is produced in the INDIAN villages, threads are produced in the INDIAN towns,
But it is BRANDED as MANUFACTURED BY A MULTINATIONAL COMPANY for which we
LOSE PRECIOUS FOREIGN EXCHANGE.
THE POINT TO NOTE: THE MONEY IS GOING TO SOME DEVELOPED COUNTRIES . It is TRUE.
PLEASE go to the remote areas of cities AND SEE FOR YOURSELF THE TRUTH .
Thousands of poor innocent INDIANS are working as tailors for stitching the
WORLD'S POPULAR READYMADE CLOTHES( ALAN PAINE, PETER ENGLAND ETC.....) ,. BUT THEY ARE PAID A POOR AMOUNT.
THIS IS HAPPENING BECUSE OF OUR IGNORANCE. INDIA IS ONE OF THE MAJOR TEXTILE EXPORTER IN THE WORLD
OUR TAILORS ARE FAMOUS EVEN IN COUNTRIES LIKE US AND UK .
THEN WHY SHOULD WE BLINDLY GIVE IN TO THE ATTRACTION OF FOREIGN BRANDS?
PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT.
Every INDIAN product you buy makes a big difference. It saves INDIA .
Let us take a firm decision today.
BUY INDIAN TO BE INDIAN we are not against of foreign products.
WE ARE NOT ANTI-MULTINATIONAL.
WE ARE TRYING TO SAVE OUR NATION.
EVERY DAY IS A STRUGGLE FOR A REAL FREEDOM.
WE ACHIEVED OUR INDEPENDENCE AFTER LOSING MANY LIVES.
THEY DIED PAINFULLY TO ENSURE THAT WE LIVE PEACEFULLY . THE CURRENT TREND IS VERY THREATENING.
MULTINATIONALS CALL IT GLOBALISATION OF INDIAN ECONOMY. FOR INDIANS LIKE YOU AND ME IT IS RECOLONISATION OF INDIA .
THE COLONIST'S LEFT INDIA THEN. BUT THIS TIME THEY WILL MAKE SURE THEY DON'T MAKE ANY MISTAKES.
WHO WOULD LIKE TO LET A" GOOSE THAT LAYS GOLDEN EGGS " SLIP AWAY.
PLEASE REMEMBER : POLITICAL FREEDOM IS USELESS WITHOUT ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE .
RUSSIA , S.KOREA , MEXICO ........THE LIST IS VERY LONG!!
LET US LEARN FROM THEIR EXPERIENCE AND FROM OUR HISTORY.
LET US DO THE DUTY OF EVERY TRUE INDIAN.
FINALLY : IT'S OBVIOUS THAT U CAN'T GIVE UP ALL OF THE ITEMS MENTIONED ABOVE,
SO GIVE UP ATLEAST ONE ITEM FOR THE SAKE OF OUR COUNTRY. LITTLE DROPS MAKE A GREAT OCEAN .

Rumours at workplace
But came to know about some romours about me, spread by one of the HR person, about me looking out for a change and probably fell out with management. Typically HR folks derives cruel pleasure out of this, as I have heard from my current HR after few days after the person joined, sort of blackmailing that my resume is found on monster and I should remove it.
I have heard from many HR guys I have worked with, on other colleagues, mostly in the form of resumes posted on websites, and they see it on purpose (probably they search for more experienced people than needed for the position er... developers, wasting company's time and effort).
Unfortunately some pictures taken at the party make this outcome. Cannot help these rumour mongers.
But for rumour spreaders, accidents do happen. For spiritual people like me, if anyone thinks on negatives on me, it would affect them thousand times, in return.

Return to USA? Why and why not?
In India you earn about 30% of USA and save about 50% of USA savings (nett). But the clarity in upbringing on kids and togetherness to family... Mastercard for life moments! (no relative will ask for money, if you live and work in India, than being in USA - a Telugu Bidda says)
I decided to raise the family in India and returned back, after I made the minimum money that I thought - would take my lifetime.
Unless you have a GC or US passport, you can be kicked out anytime and live in the fear ( er... mugging and terrorism...), but in India (if you stick to your hometown state, no one care dare!)
Yeah, you do miss, on bragging to relative on dollars, shops, clean roads and trips.... snow...
I met a family in USA with 3 kids, 2 born in India, and at age of 42, the lady wanted a US Citizen kid proudly, and the kid was born special. Now they cannot return back, obviously as they have to take care of special needs of the kid they badly had in US and wanted to raise like a normal kid...
So many stories to tell.

Performance and Service in Private sector
Nobody accepts drunk co-workers in Private sector.
Just handling a small team, which has a team leader, does not constitute major work as a Manager.
People have to ensure that they get the job done for the money being paid. Just marking the time, alone will not help. Better find a job elsewhere.
Just by not accepting the final offer with details, but the offer on accepting to make a mark in the private sector will not help.
When there is a 3 months notice for all the people in the company in the management cadre, and not accepting that in principle, does not constitute sub-ordination.
You have to respect seniors. Without that you cannot survive in the Private sector.

Muralitharan bigger than Bedi
Read here on Cricinfo More than Muralitharan; bigger than Bedi
My comment is also there....
I think that Murali is correct when he says he is within the legal limits of chucking as per ICC rules. Bedi is also correct when he says according to him he consider's Murali's action similar to chucking.
There is no contradiction here as I will explain with an example. A person has parked his car regularly for last 10 years at acertain place. Today Police put up a "No Parking " board. What was legal until yesterday will now be illegal. Similarly, ICC by declaring a limit on arm bending has made Murali's action legal. Let's however allow Bedi to retain his stance based on human eye instead of the lab tests. I think Murali should not have sought legal action but rather ignored the comment of Bedi. Similarly no body has commented on Arjuna Ranatuga's response which is more defamatory than Bedi's statement.
